ตอนนี้ได้มีการประกาศรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัล Oscars ครั้งที่ 94 อย่างเป็นทางการเรียบร้อยแล้ว ซึ่งสร้างความตื่นเต้นและฮือฮากับรายชื่อหนังบางเรื่องที่เข้าชิงรางวัล ซึ่งหนังที่เข้าชิงมากที่สุดคือหนังคาวบอยที่มีฉากเป็นเมืองมอนทานาในทศวรรษที่ 1920 อย่างเรื่อง The Power of the Dog ที่ได้เข้าฉายในสตรีมมิ่งอย่าง Netflix ที่ได้เข้าชิงมากที่สุด 12 สาขา โดยใน 12 สาขาที่ได้เข้าชิง The Power of the Dog ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลใหญ่เกือบหมด ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม, ผู้กำกับยอดเยี่ยม อย่าง Jane Campion, นักแสดงนำชายยอดเยี่ยม อย่าง Benedict Cumberbatch, นักแสดงสมทบหญิงยอดเยี่ยม อย่าง Kirsten Dunst และ นักแสดงสมทบชายยอดเยี่ยม Jesse Plemons และ Kodi Smit-McPhee ในขณะที่ Jane Campion กลายเป็นผู้หญิงคนแรกที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลผู้กำกับยอดเยี่ยมเป็นครั้งที่ 2 จาก The Power of the Dog หลังจากที่เคยเข้าชิงรางวัลนี้มาเมื่อปี 1993 จากหนังเรื่อง The Piano
